Why mycatisfat?

An admittedly unusual name for a tech site... how did that come about?

Well, first of all: my cat Leo was fat. And he was my role model. At least when it comes to efficiency. Less so regarding figure. Apart from that, he was cute. <3

Was? Unfortunately yes, my soul cat crossed the rainbow bridge in early 2025 after a sudden, severe illness. :,(

Sleep more, do less, but achieve maximum results. In his case, that meant getting pets and of course eating. Both in a radical but mostly charming way.

As a human, and especially as a business consultant, project manager and ticket pusher, you can definitely learn a thing or two from that. And that's exactly what I'm trying to do here on the blog.

I will write about thoughts, theories and learnings, among other things to question them but also to structure myself.

The Content

I was frequently asked in communities where I always get all those fancy tools and helpers from. From various sources. Facebook groups, newsletters, dedicated sites like Producthunt for example. From this came the idea to simply collect and publish them.

Currently this project is growing with "speed over quality". That means not only the cute cat pictures, but also many of the texts are written with the help of LLMs.

That won't stay that way. Tools and methods that I present here, I also use myself and my aspiration is to also write about them.

The first plan, however, is to make the tools and methods accessible in the first place and to add details, experiences and some eye candy.

I'm Sebastian. Born in '82 and an East export. This might come as a surprise now, but I like cats.
Apart from that, I like photography, hi-fi and I'm a total tech nerd.
I earn my living as a management consultant.
